200,000+ Booked Orders Already for the Tesla Model 3

More than 100,000 people have already paid $1,000 to reserve one of the most highly anticipated electronics cars to date. It’s fast, it’s spacious, it’s the Model 3. Tesla is known for their luxury electric cars that combine style, safety, and efficiency, but what will set apart the Model 3 from the rest of their cars, or any car, is its price. The car will be sold for only US$35,000, prior to any modifications, making it the most affordable electric car of its kind you can get on the market. Response has been incredibly positive, with crowds of people lining up to reserve their cars and get a glimpse at the beauty.

The car can run on one charge for 215 miles, can go from 0 to 60 mph in under six seconds, and has a 5-star safety rating, making it one of the safest cars in its class. Some other interesting features include:

-A layered glass sunroof, designed to block UV rays and manage heat.

-A body made of lightweight aluminum and cheaper steel, primarily the latter

-The signature touch screen control panel, flipped to its size and shrunk to 15 inches from 17 inches, handling everything from navigation to speed.

-Equipped with the Autopilot feature and Supercharging

-Two trunks with enough cargo space to fit an entire seven-foot surfboard.

Tesla plans to deliver the cars starting late 2017. This is subject to change, as all of their previous models had been delivered late. Musk stated at the unveiling that he feels “fairly confident that it will be next year.”

So far, orders have totaled out to US$75 billion, with an average price of $42,000. “[The] Future of electric cars looking bright!” Indeed it is, Elon Musk.
